Coffee Not Helping Me This Morning

It is already 10:30 A.M. here and I already had 2 strong coffees. But my brain is still full of cobwebs and my body is stiff as an old boot. I just wish I could get going! The sun is out and the sky is of a beautiful blue color. So that is not the weather affecting me. I sure do not appreciate mornings like this one. Need a pep talk for sure!

My husband woke up again at 5 am, he woke me up, so I decided to get out of the bed, but I have been groggy all the morning.

@LadyDuck I understand perfectly well your situation. Yesterday was a "wasted day" for me. Right now, it is only after 7:30 A.M. and do not feel that great either. Let's hope that both our bodies start to smarten up!

It is after 4:00 P.M. now here and I am still not with it. I consider today to be quite a wipe off. Are you less groggy now?

@marlina I have been groggy all the day. Around 5 P.M. I went outside to work in the garden, I came out even groggier. Today it does not seem better.

Must be a Monday . We have loads of things to do today and the kids are not even up yet (and they can't have coffee ). I am told that holding your breath wakes you up when you're tired, but I haven't tested that out yet.

@marlina I don't know . . . something like hold your breath as long as you can and exhale. Recently my kids saw a video on that too . . . not sure if it really works though!

Im a little groggy this morning, b ut other than that doing okay. Maybe take a nice hot shower and see if that will help loosen up those stiff muscles and wake you up?

Did you have a restful sleep the night before? If not - that could be the reason.

Yes when I get really bad like that, coffee does not work. Sometimes I have to go get one of those energy drinks and even then it may not work. I hope this day will give you some fuel later on Marlina.

It must be the day for slow starts. I had a problem getting myself to move. Now that I have had about a gallon of coffee I can finally think. Hope you can get a move on yourself today.

I hope the coffee kicked in @marlina or try eating an apple, they claim that can wake a person up, though goodness knows I get these days too. All the best to you.

This also happened to me in some occasions. I have enough caffeine but I still feel sleepy! Someone told me that the body could develop some resistance to caffeine, not sure though if it's true. That's why when I'm sleepy and coffee is not enough, I'll eat a small snack to keep me awake.

@marlina well, snacking didn't work for me at some point too. There seems to be certain days that our body just wants to snooze despite of the stimulants we take. Just last morning, I basically drained two mugs of coffees yet I almost slept during our meetings.
