We dodged a bullet last night. / myLot

There were severe thunderstorms all around us last night. One 15 miles to the NW one 15 miles to the SE. Nothing here. I can,t say that I,m sad. Did you ever dodge the weather bullet?

Yes, and the ones we've dodged were ones I looked forward to - snow related. It seems weather tends to go north or south of us. So far this summer, we haven't dodged any weather. We've gotten it, usually during the nighttime hours though when I'm asleep so I don't see it. That's fine. I don't like rain anyway. It's good for the earth and we need it, but I'd rather not have to deal with it if I don't need to.

Yeah, the only reason I wanted rain was for the plants but a serious pounding rain wouldn't be good for them anyway.

Yes, last year in the panhandle of Texas, we missed a tornado 5 minutes we were informed when we pulled in for gas. We kept going and about 3 miles down the road, the hail got so bad we had to pull over! Talk about heart-thumping

fear! I've been in a tornado before and it's not fun!

Yeah, I was too..not sure I would describe it as terrifying..but darn scary for sure..if the windows had blown out...I would have been screaming..now that would have been terrifying!
