More Than 9 Lives

I always joke about how I've had more lives than a cat and it got me to thinking; yes I have.
#1 5-years old: Almost kidnapped. Sitting by the front steps playing when a guy came along; took me by the hand and started walking me down the sidewalk away from the house.
#2 7-years old: Cut my leg on glass bleeding profusely. Dad wanted to wait til he was done gardening to take me to the ER while my Mom wrapped bath towels around my leg.
#3 11-years old: Got caught in a whirlpool on the river and was being sucked down.
#4 11-years old: Motorcycle accident; severe 3rd degree burns.
#5 15-years old: Kidnapped while accepting a ride to work. Rolled out of the car to escape.
#6 17-years old: Girlfriend and I kidnapped from the beach by 2 guys and driven from Nebraska to Wyoming before the police saved us.
#7 21-years old: Stupidity. Hanging out a passenger window backwards and almost smashed my head into cement abutments.
#8 36-years old: Beaten severely by spouse. Severed nerves in the face & head; fractured cochlea of the ear; both ears split wide open.
#9 38-years old: Thrown from a moving car at 35 mph; split eyebrow and elbows; concrete pieces in the ankles.
#10 50-years old: Beaten severely by spouse. Fractured orbit of the eye; nose broken in 3 places.
#11 52-years old: Head rammed through a wall by spouse.
#12 59-years old: Ruptured appendix for 3 days; massive infection; would have been dead in 2 hours without surgery.
So yeah, I'm way ahead of any cat and at 66, I don't even want to think about #13.

I can't work out if you're extremely lucky or jinxed!
Yoy shouldn't be writing about this stuff on myLot. You should be writing a book!
3 kidnaps
4 accidents (if thrown from a moving car was an accident)
3 acts of domestic violence
1 act of stupidity
1 illness
It reads more like a rap sheet than a life story.

I should do a book @WorDazza , it'd probably be a best seller. I think I've been just lucky .... so far.

@WorDazza Either that or I'd trip over one of my cats and wonk my head on something.

@nanette64 Yeah, but knowing what cats are like, that probably wouldn't be an accident.

@nanette64 I agree. It is not a good number. It is an omen for some believers. Stay safe, my friend.

And considering the number 13 is a bad number; that wouldn't be good @Shavkat .
