Yesterday I happen to visit a neighborhood occupied by comparatively modest people. I went to a small park and i saw kids playing. They did not have any expensive toys, but their faces were glittering with smiles. They were running after each other playing some sort of game, they were happy.
When i compare it to where i live, almost all the kids carry expensive toys, ride ons, gadgets to the park and remain confined to them instead of playing naturally. When i was small, we played gadget and toys free and that was the real joy of playing. To run, to fall, to get hurt, to get up and run again - this was the real joy! I feel many of our kids are missing this. They need toys to play.

Kids who can spend their time with other children seems to enjoy more than the other children who do play with toys. While playing with other children they learn many new things, they learn to show sympathy, they share bonding, they learn patience etc. All these are missing while playing a toy. I think parents should encourage childre to play with other kids once in a week.

That is true. We learn many of things while we play together. Here what i see is, kids bring toys to the park and then a small group of kids play with those toys. So, there are many kids separated in small groups engrossed in their own toys, instead of playing without toys. we should encourage toy free games.

Couldn't agree more... When we were kids, we made our own toys. Mine usually involved mud to bake pies on the seat of a swing!!
