Do you think Education is the only key to succeed in life?

Well in my opinion, education isn't actually the only thing needed to succeed in life. Personally, I think education only enlightens you and gives you a better understanding of issues and good ideas as well. Moreover on a personal level, I think succeeding in life requires an attitude of perseverance, hardwork, dedication and risk-taking.
However, not all these characteristics are taught in schools. Therefore in my opinion, someone with merely education is not guaranteed of success in life.
What do you think?

I agree with you..without the drive, one can have years of schooling with no success.

Just like Hannah said, what you wanna do too is important, as it will generate this "drive".

@Koomanter I was so fortunate to have the best of both worlds. I got good schooling but pursued a hands on trade that I was so happy working in. It really makes a difference in life.

@TiarasOceanView I totally agree with that , a good worker in any off field is any day better than a well qualified professional with no work ethics.

I agree with you, you don't have to get an education to succeed. I believe that if you want a good career, it's better to have an education because it'll make you look better for a position you want. It also just gives you a better understanding of basic world issues. But some of the most successful people in the world dropped out of school and are doing very well. Education isn't the only way to succeed. It just depends on what you wanna do, I guess.

Couldn't agree with you more! What you want to do is definitely what you've got the drive for.

Education is the basic requirement to get you there but it's not everything. There are those who are highly educated but never really succeeded at all. There are those who only had the basic education, but have reached the top.
People who succeed are those who really never quit and take the challenge with a positive attitude.

Someone definitely needs more than just an education to succeed in life. I think having motivation is a big factor as well as dedication. In my opinion someone with just high school diploma can be more successful than someone with a masters degree.
Also success can mean different things to different people. I have a cousin who has never worked a "job" a day in her life and was always a stay at home mom whether to her kids or grandkids. I feel she still has been successful in life because she has put her all into doing what she loves and it makes her happy.

You need higher education . After finish your secondary school, you need to go further such as college to obtain the Diploma and University to obtain the Degree. Companies are very biased. They look at the certs you have in hand, not your skills.

I think education is very important, a lot of jobs will not even consider you with out it.

Thing is education is very important. But values are supposed to be learned at home. There has to be a mix of discipline, morals and hard work. Hard work is not taught in school, individuals are to put the effort at personal level.

Education does not always teach you about life. I believe in personal experiences to help one learn what is out there and what to do.

I like your post. Let me answer your discussion with a famous quote which is my viewpoint on education. "Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school." The quote is from Albert Einstein, a pretty smart fellow whose view makes a lot of sense to me. Actually, the more times I read the quote to myself, Einstein in a few words, says quite a lot.
