"Some Boring People Are In Denial for Being Boring: Would You Agree?"

As a civil or friendly individual, I never tried to shut down myself in dealing with different sets of people. I can entertain it and be a listener as much as possible. Let us admit that there are some people that bore us so much. There is no other choice but to listen and be there for them. In fact, they knew that it is their personality. At times, he or she can’t admit it. “Have you ever met someone that bore you so much?” “How do you deal with these people?” Image Credit: unsplash.com

The most boring people for me are those who only want to talk about themselves, talks only about what they want to talk about and do not want to listen to what others has to say.

I do agree. These self-centered people are so full of themselves. It shows how they tend to be inconsiderate to others. They continued to be the center of attraction. Thus, they are so boring to listen to.

At some point, I tried to change the topic. However, some people are like old DVDs that keep on playing the same issues or concerns. Despite giving them advice, they still don't listen and take actions about it. How boring is that?lol

Yes, yes and yes. One quote comes to mind- "I never learned anything talking. I only learn things by asking questions"-Lou Holtz Those talkative people need to stop talking, take a breath, exhale, and learn communication is a 2-way street! That is one problem which I have not been able to politely solve

I totally agree with you. It is always a two-way process. That's the real communication. There are a receiver and a speaker to make the communication works.

I consider myself boring because I don't usually talk to friends. I mean, I talk to them but I don't share much information about myself. I'm more of a listener. I mingle with them but I don't go with them often in their getaways because I'm too lazy to go out. But despite of all this, I don't deny myself being boring. I sometimes worry when I am left with someone who talks a lot and I am just there listening and trying to relate and negotiate.

You're totally right! They deny they are boring when you tell them how boring they are and they try to prove they aren't boring by being more boring. The way I deal with them? Oh I'm a very nice girl, so once they start talking, I just switch on Netflix in my head, and start streaming some movies and watch it in my head.

Sometimes I have to make myself looks like listening but in fact, my mind is in another dimension. It wasn't like we need to be always a listener. This kind of people should need to be sensitive and do something about it. It is not always about them.

I encounter different types of people in my work. There are times when some people would ask for an opinion about something that I do not know what the whole story is all about. So when I would ask them to present to me what had happened, that is boring for me but I have to listen anyway. That is the only way that I can give an advice.

You said it right. There are so many co-employees in the government who are so boring to talk with. I had experienced this a couple of times. In some instances, the concerns are non-sense. I am just saying it through experience.

Yes. I have a friend (former neighbor) who tells the same stories every time I see him. He admits that his memory is not that good. But when he starts telling his stories, I am too polite (or embarrassed) to say "Oh, THAT story, AGAIN!" LOL
