Feel guilty for being lazy

We've all had days where we just don't feel like doing anything. Sometimes we're exhausted and just need a day or two to rest. I've had plenty of those days. Even though I know I deserve a break, I often feel guilty that I'm not doing anything. I guess it's this mentality I have that I'm supposed to be working at every opportunity that I have. When I'm not working, I feel like I'm missing out on earning money or accomplishing a task. I feel this need to be working all the time. Although, I feel guilty for sometimes being lazy, I also know that I need a rest every once in a while. Even though work is important, my health is more important. I need to relax whenever I can and put my tasks aside for a day. Have you ever felt guilty about being lazy?

I wish my brain would take a break so I could. I feel guilty when I'm doing something other than writing. Even house chores and watching TV.

@just4him I'm the same way. I try to write every day, yet most times I don't get around to it and I feel bad.

@Courtlynn That's true. I think if we're not busy doing something, we'll feel like we having accomplished anything.

I think we are still humans. I am sloth sometimes if being exhausted at work. Thus, I demand a break.

@dramagirl26 I agree. We don't need to be burned out at work easily and the company needs to give this time off from work. Unfortunately, some people who are in blue collar job experience working more than the required working hours.

@Shavkat It's best to take a break every once in a while so we don't overwork ourselves.

@Letranknight2015 It is part of our human condition. Sometimes being lazy is okay, but others it ends up causing trouble.

I do have lazy days. but it has been warmer out not too hot. So i am working in the garden, and taking longer walks to get out of the house and to get exercise.

@HazySue Same here. I feel that I need to be active instead of sitting around.

Yes I used to be very lazy in my college days. But now I don't think I am that lazy. I changed a lot with time unintentionally.

@prashu228 I think during our younger days we have a habit of being lazy, but as we grow older we break that habit.

I always feel guilty about being lazy. I do not know why, but I cannot relax knowing that there is something I should do.

Yes, it always seems that every minute should be spent on something productive. There's truth that there's always some task or chore to be done.

@JohnRoberts So true! There always seems like there's something to do, yet not enough time to do it.
