Erratic Sleeping Pattern

July 17, 2017 5:20pm CST
My sleeping patterns just lately are awful, take the past couple of days for an example, Sunday night I did not go to bed until 1am, I was up again at 5.30 a.m for work. I came home from work at 1 p.m by 3.30 P.M I had fallen asleep and I did not wake up until 9 P.M I am now frantically trying to catch up with those missed hours! I have gone from a lovely sleep routine to one where I am messed up bad! It needs sorting ASAP. Have you ever had this problem or suffered from insomnia? How do you cope with it and all the feelings that come from sleep deprivation? How does lack of sleep affect your day to day life for you, and those around you?

Yes sometimes it hits me like that. It is maddening for sure. I like a regular sleep pattern. I sometimes wake up in the night and cannot go back to sleep. I hope you can fix this soon and get some good rest.

Sleep and rest is very important and without it so many won't be able to function.Hopefully there will be some relief from any sleep disturbances. Still blessed hope all is blessed as well.

Yes there have been times when for no reason at all I am wide awake after a couple of hours of sleep and no matter what I do or try,I am unable to go back to sleep. This also means that you wake up late and this pattern continues for a couple of days until it settles down and I get back to my old sleeping routine.

Terrible. My schedule is super goofy so occasionally I do find myself in this position. I usually take a Melatonin supplement and sometimes that helps.

If I am thinking something, I can't sleep early, It takes time. I think the best way to cope up with insomnia is to clear the mind before climbing the bed.

Fortunately I haven't had such experience except when I'm jetlagged. It could take me a whole week to adjust to the timezone changes.

Yes, I did had insomnia for 3 years until I decided to get to the track. I followed my son's routine, had forced myself to wake up and sleep as according to his time. Now, I am back to normal. Sleep at 10pm, wake up at 5am

I try to adapt to regular sleep habits in order to function well during the hours I am awake. If I can not fall asleep or wake up in the middle of the night, I watch television on a channel that can put me to sleep (because it's boring... LOL)
