Party At The Lake / myLot

Today is my granddaughters 13th birthday and she's having a party at the lake where they live. I can't believe how fast time is flying by and it seems like yesterday when she was born. Then again, I can't believe how old I am!!!

She's having some of her school friends, church friends and her cousins so having a summer birthday is easy during a weekday when school is closed. As I've mentioned before, this is the last party for awhile and as much as I'm looking forward to todays celebrations I'll be happy to have months to rest before another family birthday rolls around. I'm just hoping the weather cooperates but thunderstorms this afternoon are in the forecast. That would put a damper on the party (both literally and figuratively) So that's my day ahead. What's happening in your neck of the myLot world?

Hope the party goes well for you and your daughter and friends have a fantastic time. Let's hope the weather plays fair for it. I am currently sitting in our little caravan, on a site, in Cornwall on holiday. It's been fun sitting out in the awning listening to the rain and winds and waiting to see if we get a thunderstorm too. Not the weather I had planned for our Cornwall trip but I am living every single minute of it. Good old British weather eh?

Enjoy the party. They do grow up fast. One day they are babies the next day it seems that they are ready to make their own decisions.

I hope the weather is good and the party goes or went well. Many Happy returns to your grandaughter. Time does fly and they grow up so fast, but this will be a lovely memory to treasure.
