School shopping needed yet

Dean starts Kindergarten about September 9th and I still have to go school shopping. I am looking at spending around about $100 now since he is full time. I am happy for him and he's gone all day, the only downfall is walking him to and from school because that will be quite the haul. Hopefully we move into my mother in laws ole apartment in October so then I don't have to go far. Cross your fingers on that one. I just hope more sales pull through so I can get more in school supplies and I hope to find cheap places except the Dollar Tree lol. Gotta go soon....

That's a lot to spend when school hasn't started. They usually give you a list of what is needed. They have a lot of sales at Staples, Walmart, Target, Office Depot for school essentials like glue, paper, notebooks, pencils and so forth.
At Walmart, they have standard backpacks starting at $2.47.

@carebear29 Yes, there are sales right now for school supplies. Or call the school and ask if they have a school supplies list so you know exactly what to get.

Why not the dollar tree? Thamkfully Kindergarteners dont need much.

I have seen my daughter buy things for school and it seems to me that years ago we did not need so much.

I would wait for the school list , if they give one and try dollar store, walmart , Tagert.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you get all the sales that you need and more. I know what it is like for you as I have the same problem myself. My kids broke up for the summer today, my daughter just finished her last year of primary school today and begins high school in September which means a whole different set of uniform :-( its going to be quite an outlay and its tough going at the moment so I send you my good wishes for lots of sales with lots of bargains!
