Consider having one? If I have a big backyard, I would love to have miniature pigs. I haven’t tried to have a pet like this. I did have a pet but it was a wild boar during my childhood years. Eventually, the poor wild boar was butchered and eaten on Christmas Eve that time.
In the Philippines, I haven’t seen a teacup pig. I am not sure if it is available here.

@CaptAlbertWhisker is right, they are small only when they are piglets then they become as big as the other pigs.

@Shavkat One of my uncle has a pig farm (15,000 pigs). . There are around 50 types of miniature pigs, but even the small species grow to over 66 pounds during the first year, in 3 years the reach adult size. The so called "teacup pig" grow to about 100 pounds when adult.

I'll likely pass up on this kind of pet.
Not my cup of tea. Pun intended!

While I think they are cute to get them so small sometimes involves a certain amount of unethical behaviour on those who are producing them. There may be inbreeding to try to get the pigs smaller and smaller and sometimes the mothers are fed restricted rations to try to ensure small pigs. But they are very cute.

I think it is still considered piglets. I had read that they tend to have short legs but it grows huge like regular pigs.

Its a scam. They are only small as piglets. Paris Hilton bought one and the pig ends up gigantic.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I had read that it is possible. But medical interventions should be done to obstruct the growth of the pigs.

If you feel happy with it, go for it, my friend. When I was a teenager, I had a pet pig named Bobby. He is so chubby and I cried when he was sold to a butcher. I also saw tears falling down from my pet pigs' eyes. That was so horrible and terrible reality I ever met in my young life to see my pet I loved so much sold to be butchered. When I became mature, I realized the duty of an animal to serve his master to be a home partner or to be foods for the human beings greedy of meat like me.That is one reason why I ceased eating pork because of my painful experience with my pet pig Bobby.

I think I would like to try it as long as it remained small. I was getting my tire changed one day and the lady who owned the garage was there with her teacup pig...It wags it's tail like a dog. It was so funny!

Teacup Pig, that's new to me but I want to see one. I think they are cute.
We used to have native Philippine pigs back then because my parents are fond of caring them as a hobby and in preparation for our feast.
