How Lovely

One of the stained glass windows from the public library in McPherson, Ks. There are several throughout the building.
The original library was built in 1971. About ten years ago,it had a renovation. The facility was doubled in size and there were many beautiful and comfortable features added. There are six or seven stained glass windows that were sponsored by local citizens and businesses and were crafted by a shop just thirty miles away.
I like what this one says about being in the library yet being many other places as well. It is how I feel. This library feels magical to me.

I will probably add more pictures when I take more. There are individual tables with nice lamps and lots of places to plug in computers, etc. The west end has sofas and tables and armchairs. That is where they have four stained glass windows.

@TiarasOceanView It is. In the past I have noticed that people like to go just to visit with one another. No coffee but lots of visiting.

I think they should put up a library tour across the US. I love the one near my daughter in the Minneapolis area. There is a castle for puppetry and a dragon and all kinds of great displays there. For myself and my kids libraries are like a second home.

You would enjoy this with your kids a lot. They have children's activities downstairs. In the upstairs there is a children's library, and a special toddler room where the books are in "train cars, accessible for the little ones. There is a train stained glass in that room, as well as a room off that for mom's who need to feed their babies.

Yes, it is as lovely as many churches, but provides a great place to enjoy books or work on your laptop or read magazines and newspapers.
