Two Weeks Until School Starts!

I can't believe that my kids go back to school in 2 weeks! Today, I have to go down and pick up the registration packet for my middle son to fill out. I have already done the online registration for all 4 kids online. Then I have to fill out packets and take them to registration this week and next. My second youngest will be in Kindergarten and my second oldest will be a senior! I can't believe how fast time goes. I have so much do to before they go back to school. So much shopping, haircuts, etc. Of course I don't have the money to do it right now, but I'll figure it out as I go along...I always do. I wish this meant that summer was almost over, but here the 110+F temps will last through October. Oh well! Hopefully I can find a new place for us to live by then.

It's crazy on the time goes by so quickly. My eldest will be starting kindergarten on September 1st. So in a little over a month. It's crazy. It's coming up so quickly.

@cpefley I think of all three of mine as my babies. It can be hard to let them go.

It does go by so fast! I still think of my Kindergartner as being my baby.

Happy Back to School! I hope the weather gets cooler... 110+F is quite a scorcher!

It will be hotter in August, September, and October. Right now, it is about 98F. We have had a few days over 110, but August and September are the worst!

Here the summer vacation for children from July till August. And they will start to go to school on September 1st. Are the air conditioners in the school in you side? Here there are no air conditioners in primary school but they are available in high school and universities.

@cpefley In fact I don't really understand why. Perhaps people prefer the young children use fan as it will easy for them to catch a cold as it is cold indoor because of air conditioners and hot outdoor because of the hot weather.

Poor little kids! I can't imagine not having an air conditioner for the little ones. Most have air conditioners here, but occasionally they break. Mine isn't working very well at the moment. I have a small one in my bedroom, so we stay in there and play or watch TV during the hottest part of the day.

I can totally understand how busy it can be before school starts. There is so much shopping to be done and also planning about what to give the children for lunch. The expenses associated with all those are definitely very high

I did not realize that school started so soon. I used to get the list for the next year and buy something each week during the summer.

We don't get our lists until after school starts, so I try and guess. I go by the sales each week when I have the funds. Now with a baby that has food allergies, she puts a huge dent in our budget. Her formula alone is about $400 a month!

How long have they been off for? My children's summer holidays have just started so we have a full 6 weeks off, I also am off as I work in a school which is very handy! I have decided that I will start to get their uniforms in from tomorrow, a bit each week, if I do that it will hopefully keep my outgoings down!

Oh my god, that's a pretty early start for summer vacation. My summer vacations always started at the end of June and ended at the end of august. Do your kids still get two months off or does their summer vacation start at the end of June as well?

@cpefley Oh, so that's not bad then. It's still the regular 2 months off. It's different in different provinces and countries I guess.

Once the kids are back in school, you will get a bit of a breather.
