She is not my MOM!

As I told you on my posted discussion last time. My mom have this Alzheimer’s disease and we were all caught off-guard when her body reacts violently with the small “test” amount of medicine injected to her.
In a week, she started to stutter and the worst is she cannot stand nor sit. She took that medicine last year.
Now, for a span of 7 months, she is blind. And we all cannot understand what she is murmuring.
I want to scream! This is not what I am thinking of my mom. I miss the happy, all-smile mom. I miss the every conversation with her. I miss her kisses. Her hugs. Her laughter. Her walk. I miss playing jokes with her.
I am missing the healthy version of her.
Okay! I will stop now. I am crying. I am in the office writing this.

Watching Grey's Anatomy, I've learned how dreadful this disease can be and there's no cure until now.
I'm so sorry your family have to go through this.

@wiLLmaH They have been doing the medical trial for a very long time now in the US but they still haven't found anything that works yet.

This is sad to hear. I remember my mom she's still strong and unhealthy up to now. I don't want her to be miserable when she turns very old. Hope your mother will receive the right treatment and care

Did the injection made it worst? how old is your mom? This will be pain to watch as my mom grows older. I look at her sometimes and compare to who she was and how young she was before. The pain of loosing her is something I couldn't bear. Never stop praying for your mom..It goes with the aging I guess. I'm lucky I can still talk to my mother but had to be honest she can be forgetful too..Going Blind is the worst thing that can happen to a person.

@wiLLmaH She is not that old. Good luck with it. I know as my mom had it and some days she was so sweet to me and other days she was so nasty. Sometimes it would get to me as I would visit her after working all day and being up from 2am and by the time I saw her after I got off work it was 2pm. A long day for me and then I would get yelled at from her. It was upsetting but I know it was not here inside her body.

I am so sorry, I can understand your pain. It's so sad to see those we love changing with the age. My mom has changed too, she complains more and she is no more as happy as she used to be. Anyway she is 96, still healthy and her head functions very well.

All you have to do now is to let her feel how much you love her.
