Lower back still sore

UGH. I think I strained it doing cleans with heavier kettlebells than I normally use on Saturday during the Strongman workout. Then I did more cleans on Monday. Tonight there were no cleans but there were kettlebell swings. I started out with a 40 pound bell but went down to a 35 after the first set. 20 swings is more than we normally do at once and I didn't want to strain my lower back any further.
I've been doing hot bath soaks, rolling on my foam roller (which I LOVE having here at home), and taking ibuprofen. It probably isn't going to get better unless I take time off from working out which I really don't want to do. I just had a rest week.
At least I have tomorrow off and most of Thursday off too. Don't have to be at the gym until 5pm Thursday evening.

@NJChicaa That's true, you might have to take a break even if you don't want to.

Hope your back feels better soon. My upper thighs have been bothering me, one of the new exercises we are doing is the culprit no doubt but I am not sure which one!!

@NJChicaa Unfortunately mine is the tendon that hooks the hip to the knee and last time it took 2 years to heal!! This time it is not nearly as severe but it has me worried.

A lower back ache can be painful so hope you aren't overdoing it with your workouts. Seems like your hot baths and other methods are a good cause of action.
