Swimming and Rain

I turned on the TV to see what the prognosis was for today and it showed rain. I was up super early and was able to get my prayer and Bible study done and posted before I left. As I got ready to leave, the rain descended along with lightning and thunder. I figured it didn't matter if I got wet as I was going in the pool anyway. Yes, I got a little wet getting to my car.
The rain had stopped by the time I came out of the pool. However, being up at 2:30 in the morning meant I was in for a nap after swimming. I just got up from an hour nap and it's pouring out there so much you can barely see across the street and the rain looks like curtains as it blows in the wind. For the moment it has calmed, but it's still coming down, and I see the wind is picking up again.
So it looks like I missed the worst of the storm this morning when I was at the pool.
Breakfast this morning is scrambled eggs with sliced baby bella mushrooms, diced onions, and shredded Colby-Jack cheese. I tried making that as an omelet yesterday, it didn't work as an omelet so I just scrambled it.
So that's my morning. Today looks like I'll be spending time on my book, that I couldn't do yesterday, and no doubt going to bed early tonight so I can get to the pool again tomorrow amid more rain drops as this system is supposed to last until tomorrow.
How is your day? Thanks for reading.

I took 10 steps out my back door at 9 am and was in the pool, joined by Ruby and my husband shortly thereafter.

@marlina Some days three times a day and about 1 to 2 hours at a time. But with the heat and humidity early am is a much nicer time to go in.

What a day you are having. I am no fan of the rain. Especially heavy rains like that. But hey, we have to do what we have to do. But your day does sound interesting for sure. I haven't had a good egg and mushroom omelet in a long time. Maybe tomorrow morning I will do that or go out for breakfast. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I had the strangest dream on waking. It was time to get back up and join the living.

It's nice that you have an indoor pool so the rain doesn't stop you from swimming.

Yes it is. I love swimming and so do my knees, which seem to function much better after a good morning swim.

I hope it won't make landfall either. We were supposed to get rain today, but it looks like the threat has moved on. I hope swimming will help. Thank you.

I swim at an indoor pool. I wouldn't swim outside in the rain.
