Well, I had burned my tongue because of a hot soup today. I was so hungry and forgot to blow the spoon with soup.lol It was so terrible and I need to use some ice cubes to pacify the localized pain. The end result, I can’t enjoy my meal for lunch because of it. I can’t talk much during my online classes and it feels the discomfort of enunciating the English words. I hope it will be fine tomorrow.
I will be more careful next time.
Now, I am about to sleep. I need to rest my restless body. See you later. Goodnight, guys!

@enlightenedpsych2 My tongue is sensitive for at least a couple days. So is the roof of my mouth.

@enlightenedpsych2 I agree. The ice can stop the swelling and it will prevent from having blisters.

I have burned my tongue and my palate by eating too hot meals. I did not TRY to do it though. I have noticed that I have to be extra careful with dishes heated in a microwave oven

I agree. I guess I was so in a hurry to eat my meal and didn't take extra care eating the soup. The pain subsided and hopefully, it will be gone soon. I also sometimes use a microwave to reheat some leftovers and never dare to eat the food while still hot. But this soup failed me for being careless.lol

I hate when that happens! Sometimes I underestimate how hot soups can be.
Have a good nights rest

@Shavkat Good to hear you slept well. I had a hot noodle dish for dinner but I blew on it so I wouldn't burn my tongue!

Plenty of times since I am always the one who makes the meals and I have to taste the food. If I am in a hurry and I am not careful then it happens at the worst of times and I cannot enjoy my food. I am sure by tomorrow you'll be fine.

@JohnRoberts I also cannot endure the pain whenever I had bitten my tongue. It will lead to sore, too.

How I hate when I bite my tongue @JohnRoberts but what is worse is biting into my inside cheek.

Usually I always try and see how hot the food or drink is first but I have done it eaten things that are a bit too hot.
Take care and don´t rush if you can.

Always... I even experienced blisters forming on my hard palate. And no matter how hot it is, I never spit it out... I don't know why, but that's how I do it.

@Neiltarquin I do think that some nerve endings in the palate part weren't abundant.lol

It's not that serious but I think it's funny to have blisters there. It's not even painful, unlike with a burnt tongue.

I have, but haven't in a long time. I drink hot tea all the time, so maybe I'm just used to watching out for hotness in eating/drinking. But my son goes through this a lot . . . he won't always check his food, but he's a kid .

I thought you burnt it by really burning it literally. I burned my tongue many times when I sipped a hot soup.
