~Moving Today~

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been here today. Today is moving day for us. I am exhausted! The Uhaul is packed, and we are at the storage unit waiting to get in one because they gave us a unit that already has someone's stuff in it... 
The 3 bedroom house is not ready since there hasn't been an electrical permit pulled in 3 years, the electric company said that's got to be done first. So...we have to stay in a different house until the 3 bedroom is ready, it will take about a week. This whole thing has been insane and stressful to say the least. 
My husband and I along with one friend got it all loaded-it took almost all day. Now we have to unload it all into storage and we will be doing this all over again in such a short amount of time.
I need a vacation y'all!

@infatuatedbby Well we thought so but it has no sinks or counter tops so we are staying in a motel until one of them are ready. =(

It is very exhausting moving. The last time I moved was 5 years ago. I lived in my last place for 17 years and liked it in the beginning, but, the really hated it and could not afford to move and then could. I waited forever for the moving guys and then the driver kept asking for coffee. I was moving and all was packed what did he expect and then it took forever to move and then we finally got here and they had to take a break and we moved from a big place to a small so had to throw things and still had to throw more things when got up there and then when got some things ordered the guys were real jerks and the guy from the phone company came and he was sick and was not very nice. I can't remember if the cable was ok. It was a very very hard move. I do not envy you and good luck with it all. I understand why you need a vacation. Moving certainly takes a lot out of you.

@Hannihar Yes this sounds a lot like what you went through! The owner said one of the houses were ready but it's not so we are in a motel right now.

That is a lot of work. You definitely deserve a vacation. It will be nice when you get in the other place and get settled for a bit.

@andriaperry Well we thought we did but...the house had no sinks or counter tops and the plumbing isn't hooked up so we are in a motel right now.
