Our freezer is full of proteins so I didn't think that we'd be buying much in the way of that. Still, I wanted to try a couple of new recipes from my cookbooks while I have this time off from work. Well, the recipes I've chosen involve 4 pounds of littleneck clams, 4 tuna steaks, and 12 boneless skinless chicken thighs. Luckily I only need miminal vegetable and dairy additions to get out of the store. I'm guessing it will still be a $125 visit to the food store. I never get out for less.

I am right there with you. I can never go to the grocery store OR Target without spending a fortune. Where do you get your recipes from ?

We do shopping in the grocery weekly. We do need to have listed it before setting off from the house. It would be nice to track down the budget.
