Having lived in the DC area for many years, it is no surprise that i have seen and interacted with politicians or political appointees. I met a former Senator from Massachusetts at Popeyes chicken. I stood in front of Janet Reno at the airport, and I met Bob Dole on an airplane. I saw a CBS correspondent John Hart once in NY and saw Patti Labelle getting off a plane in Atlanta. I imagine those living in Calif. have seen more real celebrities though.

There used to be a restaurant in Florida that was very elaborate. It was the Kapok Tree. My grandparents saw Tony Bennett there.

If by celebrities you mean actors and actresses only, I havenĀ“t met many. But I have met politicians and intellectuals, including several Nobel Prize winners. I also met the best soccer players in my country when I was young as my husband was a pro soccer player of the best team of that time.

As I lived 30 years in Monte-Carlo I have met many important people, not only movie celebrities, but also sport celebrities, not to mention Princess Grace Kelly, Prince Albert and Princesse Caroline of Monaco. I also met one of my favorite actors, Sean Connery at a premiere of his movie "Never Say Never Again".

When my sister lived in the Chicago area, she worked downtown in an office building. On her lunch break one day, a group of young men almost mowed her down on a sidewalk, then screaming girls followed behind. One of the fellas swept very apologetic, past. The next day, Sona read that the Rolling Stones were performing in Chicago and she wasn't surprised! They were just starting out, at that time.

I walked smack into a very young and handsome Joe Kennedy at a Celtics game many years ago. He touched my arm and I almost fainted LOL.
I met Alan Alda at Newark Airport years ago. Met several country singers in Nashville. I saw Chubby Checker in Chicago airport.

My Mom, Sister & I met the exercise guru Richard Simmons when he came to the Mall in Atlanta promoting his newest book. That was in the 1980s. He shook our hand and kissed our cheeks, lol .,, Then another time in the 1980s, I met my gal pal in Los Angeles CA (her brother lived there) and we saw some sites. We heard that the clothes designer , Calvin Klein would be at a local Mall signing autographs. We got in line and said hello to him and he signed a poster with one of his models promoting a clothing line.
