I´m about to make an onion and potato soup.

I love this soup, with fried onions en julienne, fried coarse grated potatoes, broth, milk and diced cheese when served.
It is delicious but it takes time to do it so I never do it. But now I´m alone and I have a very small amount of broth left so I can do it with an onion and a potato.
The first time I had it, I was invited by a friend and I liked it so much that I asked him to take me again to the restaurant to discover how it was made. Then, at home, I looked up online and found out that it was a French soup. Delicious!
Have you ever had it?

I will. I just finished and need a couple more minutes to cook.

Yes, love it. I make a great potato soup and a good French onion soup too. I don't put cheese in either. I like a little worchershire sauce in the potato soup along with butter, onion and pepper.

It sounds delicious but I have never heard of it. I do like French onion soup but that is different.

I had it growing up but not since I started cooking for myself. I have been thinking about onion soup recently but it is way to hot to make something that takes ckking time. When it gets colder I might try it!
