What will be your most joyous moment this Sunday?

I'm still trying to figure out what will be my most joyous moment today. I already vacuumed. That was pretty satisfying. I finished two of three progress notes. Not bad. I'm sipping a Coke. That's pretty happy-making! But I still haven't experienced a moment of pure joy. Will it be the Indian Creamed Spinach that's currently in the oven? Will I finish another speaker surface? Will I finish another pair of coasters? I know! I'm going to go swimming before our afternoon gig at the Old Folks Home. Maybe that will do it. Have you determined what you most joyous moment will be, or already was, on the sunny Summer Sunday?

Changing the bed sheets and ironing the clothes. I had postponed the ironing from several days, I am glad it's done.

Well, we got an air mattress to sleep on so we won't sleep on the tile floor tonight. That was very joyous! =) I hope you enjoy your day.

Well, it wasn't joyous, but it was pretty exciting. Watched a guy get arrested. The cop had his Taser out, but didn't use it. Just threw the guy on the ground after the dude hit him.

Oh oh, dare I ask the race of the cop and the perp? I always pray it's not a white cop and a black perp, because if it is, we might have a civil rights case on our hands, and that costs me tax dollars. I'm selfish, I know.

@dollaboy Where are you? The water is pretty cold up here in Northern California. In Santa Barbara, it was cool but tolerable in the Summers. I like the Gulf of Mexico. Feels like a bath.

It's early Monday morning here now, not much action yesterday because a typhoon passed as by pulling heavy moonsoon rains and it has been raining 3 days and another typhoon is on it's way. So it's mostly preparing and checking equipments to be ready, that gives me joy too, I ordered another cheap tactical flashlight online and I'm excited waiting for it to arrive.

Let us know when it happens! I did a gig today, scored some Scotch and lox on the way home, and have all but one progress note done. I think the best is yet to come, though. I have time to hit the pool and no other obligations this evening.

Mine was when my phone rang. I picked it up and it was my mama. She was actually able to dial my number today and then I knew she knew who I was, because she said , "Marie Come Swim with me". and I did. I hadn't planned on it, because my husband was home, but how could I say no to her. it was pure joy being in the pool with her.

I think, my most joyous moment, this morning occurred when the surgeon arrived to tell us that my fathers surgery had been successfully completed..... Recovery may not be assured.....but we've crossed this hurdle.

Heh. I can't remember mine either. I think my most joyous moment Monday was at the preschool when a new parent thought I was Noah's dad, because of the way we interact. He's the 2 1/2-year-old who doesn't talk yet. He helps me set up in the mornings.

Yes, it is a sunny Sunday here in Wisconsin. Day three in a row without rain. My joyous moment was church this morning. My most unhappy moment was burning my fingers checking on my pot roast. They're all good. I tried the flour trick and it worked.

@just4him I'll have to remember that! I don't think I've thrust any part of my anatomy into a bag full of flour.

Tell us more about the flour trick. I burned my hand today as well! Church. I tend not to go to church. I haven't done anything overtly religious yesterday (the Jewish sabbath) or today (the Christian sabbath). Or did I? Yesterday, I saw a kid client who has been struggling. I don't usually work on weekends. But was I doing it to help the kid? Or keep my billable hours up? I reckon only God knows. I think maybe I'll put a Bach Cantata on my stereo before I head to the pool.

@TheHorse Someone here, or from the now demise site, posted about putting your hand in a bag of flour when you burn your hand. Flour will work on anything you burn, but it's easy to thrust a hand in a bag versus any other part of your anatomy. Instead of keeping my hand in the flour, I took a handful of flour and kept my hand clutched around the burn for several minutes. It worked. It still stung a bit last night and there was a white spot on my finger that could have formed a blister, but didn't and the finger is perfectly normal today. Not even red.
