My laptop was dead for over a day.

Yesterday, when I was answering my notifications here, suddenly the mouse froze. I was caught in the middle of a word and I could not even go somewhere else to see if the site was what was not working.
I left it in the dining room all night with the plug in, and then (still frozen) all day with the plug out. And all the time, the screen showed the same mylot page and nothing could be done.
Today, meanwhile, I started to look for the warranty papers, as this laptop is new. They were nowhere to be found.
Claudia could not come to check it (she said that it was a good idea to take out the battery and put it on again). And that she could come tomorrow.
Meanwhile, my aunt Ilse called me and invited me to what she called "a German mystery lunch made by herself). I was going to call Claudia telling her that I wasn´t going to be here tomorrow when she called again and told me that Rafael was on his way to help me.
And then, while waiting for Rafael (they live a few blocks away), I looked at the laptop and saw that the screen was black. So I turned it on, and it worked. That´s Murphy´s laws! The screen the said that it was a failure of Firefox. I´m glad that it was not my computer.
And Rafael showed me how to take out the battery just in case.
Have you ever had these troubles?

The mouse works fine now, but it seems that the trouble was in Firefox.

I was shocked. I bought this laptop , new, about 2 months ago, when my old laptop was stolen.

I used to have a computer belonging to my school that had a cursor that woukd freeze. The tech department told me to force it to shut down, and the cursor will re-form when you turn it on next time. It worked!

That´s what my daughter told me, but I didn´t know how to remove the battery. Rafael came to the rescue although the problem had been fixed alone. But he showed me the very easy way to remove it. Funny enough, I lent him one of my Rethoric books that I don´t consider difficult.

There's are always issues. If it isn't the computer then it's the service or the search engine or the site.

I still think that the old ball point pen was best.

I will learn how to use my printer and will print everything from now on. I have lost a lot of information since computers came into being.
