So, I was perusing my Facebook feed and found this story with an attached video, of a woman from San Diego (not far from where I live) who was traveling through New Mexico and went through a Border Patrol checkpoint. She argued with the agent and told him she wouldn't answer his questions about whether or not she was a citizen and claimed she didn't have to. Well, you do have to and I don't see what the problem is. She was very white (blonde hair, fair skin) so obviously she wasn't being discriminated against. I have been through several of those checkpoints, and I don't see what the problem is. Say, "Yes" and move along. It is their job, whether or not your agree with it. If you don't like the laws, do something to change them, but arguing with the Border Patrol agents isn't going to change the law.

Yeah, I would say crazy about does it..Some guy on Dr. Phil went for 29 miles with border patrol agents chasing him..Fortunately, Dr. Phil got him into rehab so if the guy is lucky, the charges will be dropped.

She must have been trying to cross from Mexico into the US to have been asked if she were a citizen, logic should have told her that you cannot drive into another country without proving you are a citizen.
As for her blond hair and fair skin, many Mexican citizens are also blonds with fair skin so no it would not have been obvious to the border patrol agent.
