I had a long day at work. I need to extend hours due to more than a couple of urgent client meetings.
My Boss is not feeling well so I have to take over and discuss her deck presentation. I'm a little strict with following what was scheduled for my daily task but this occassion will usually happen.
People would commonly think that employees that extend hours are hard workers but is this really true. What bout productivity hours? What are your thoughts about this?

There may be some who have misconceptions that working for long hours is working productively. For me, timeliness is important. there are times that we extend hours due to unfinished jobs. But in your case, it was certainly an additional task that you need to extend hours for. You are doing a great job!

I think the answer is yes, because we are extending our work

Definitely not. Productivity is something you should strive for. Long hours are hectic. It is better to log off at the right time.
