How and where did you meet your husband/wife?

Life is definitely full of surprises as we found each other in such an unpredictable time and place. We started chatting on June 2016. I was broken hearted from my previous relationship. I met my husband through online dating site. I went to that site to look for someone to talk to. I never thought that I will meet my husband there. Just after 3 weeks of everyday chatting, we decided to meet. Where? We met at the airport. I flew from Philippines to Australia! I took a big risk. I was lucky that he is a very good person. I guess I trusted my gut instinct. From there, we got to know each other more, fell in love and now married. We got married after 7 months of knowing each other. Best thing that ever happened!
Our love story shows that love can come out of the blue and there is really true love.
How about your love story?

My husband and I met in a chat room 13 years ago. He went to the state I lived in after 3 weeks of talking on the phone. We never saw each other through a picture or anything until we met face to face.
We got engaged a couple months after meeting and married a year later.
We have 5 children and even with life's ups and downs we are still in love. =)

That is a lovely love story you have Jennifer. All relationships will have it's life's ups and downs, that is normal. As long as you both stay strong and work together as a married couple, everything will still be good. :)

We also met online. This was over 14 years ago which was well before online dating sites were accepted by society. We just told our families that we met through friends which was plausible enough as we were the same age and lived in neighboring towns. My sister and cousin have always known the truth so my parents may know the truth of how we actually met now after all of these years. I don't think they actually care now because they love my husband after 14 years.

Yeh, it doesn't matter now is it as they love your husband. I also told my mum that we met thru a common friend. My mum is a conservative type so I didn't tell her we met on a dating site. Some people just don't understand those sort of things. But it works. :)

I'm not married, but my bf and I also met on a online dating (chat)site. We then hung out 1.5 months later, and spent 7 hours together the first day then he went home and we saw one another off and on for months before we got to see one another every 2-3 weeks. Now its 7 years.

When a relationship I was in at the beginning of last year ended, I put myself on a few dating websites, to be honest I had absolutely no intention of meeting anyone as I never had before and I was really wary with having children. Anyway I had a few guys that I would chat to and one had asked me out and I was considering it when out of no where this guys profile caught my eye, I looked at his pics and remember thinking that guys like him would not go for girls like me, and I flicked past him, but something made me go back and I decided to say hi. Well 14 months later and we are still together!

I was at a friends house and he was at his Aunts house. My friend and I went for a walk and there he was. He said he knew from the time he saw me I was the one. We were 14 and 16. In truth I couldn't stand him and he would not give up.. lol Now I'm so glad that he didn't, we got married at 16 and 18. He is a wonderful friend and husband. No one could ever replace him in my life.

@angelmels No, we learned to love each other by years. I did have a lot of problems with my married life in the first few years but as time passed things improved.

Nice one. You took a big risk and God was with you, I'm glad you made it. When it comes to meeting your life partner I believe it can be anywhere, it could be in dirty places you will least expected to meet nice people but God has his reasons for everything. You could be the one that will change your partner for good or the he change you. I met my partner in the college we dated for years before we got married.
