We may deny it, but we cannot shy away from the truth that we have become slaves to gadgets. Be it our workplace or our home, we spend a lot of time with gadgets. Gadget addiction is getting hard to deal with and it’s fair to say that this form of addiction has surpassed all other. Are we caught in a web where there’s no escape? Does a day go by without using a gadget? It’s a scary scenario… We need to be the change for a better future.

@realityspeaks just stay away from your gadgets an hour at a time. You can then slowly build it up.

It really is sad that people's lives have revolved around gadgets these days. I think the only way to do it is to limit the time we spend using gadgets and turn off notifications at certain times (so you don't feel the urgency of checking messages or social media pages).

You're right about that. We got to make a conscious effort to reduce time spent with gadgets.

It seems we may be doomed to gadget addiction Manufacturers and inventors keep coming up with technological innovations which make items easy to use and more functional. Things like cell phones and remotes/cable boxes come to mind. As much as I resist, it's hard to not give in eventually. On the bright side, I still record my programs with my VCR, TiVo is still waiting

Yeah, when there is demand the supply is always there. I used to have a VCR years ago, eventually got rid of it when the CD revolution began.
