I hadn't experienced it before until I had the trip in Tokyo. It was a late night and I felt very strange. Later I realized it was an earthquake but it was not very serious. Hard to believe I could stay calm at that time. Perhaps I was really tired and I couldn't do much things. So I let it be. Last night I learned that there was a big earthquake happened in Sichuan from my country. So far 12 people died. I hope there will be no more deaths or wounds.

The second earthquake was in Xinjiang. It is a large land and I guess not many skyscrapers there and therefore the wounds shall be less.

I have experienced it twice. Once during the tsunami and another random earthquake. Both times it was not scary where I stayed and we didn't have any damage to our house.

@marguicha Perhaps the houses are not very tall and the population is not so many in Chile, so the wounds will be less in your country. Here due to the big population and poor buildings in small places, the wounds will be much more.

I live in Jerusalem and when I was learning computer graphics the course was in a bomb shelter and one day while we were in the middle of the lesson things started to shake and I think move. We were experiencing an earthquake. After it stopped we went outside. All I could think of was my cat at home alone and I was worried about her. When I got home she was fine and everything was in its place. It was an experience for sure.
