TWENTY RESPONSES IN EIGHT MINUTES!

What kind of topic generates twenty and more responses in eight minutes? The topic would not be the only factor, but definitely the number of active members on site - as well as timing.
Twenty responses in a very short time occurred regularly at Bubblews - and that was primarily because of the large number of active members on site day or night. The same could happen here (if it hasn't already) - but hardly likely during the summer months when many mylotters are taking full advantage of the great outdoors.
Do you recall posting a discussion which garnered many responses in a very short time? What kind of topics do you think would most likely receive very quick responses?

On both of my labor posts I got 100 or so responses and I got them pretty fast.
It's hard to know what everyone is interested in, I just write about my life and let whatever happens, happen.

Honestly, I have never checked how many responses I get in how many minutes. I have many discussions that got 100 and more responses. I know that the one I posted a couple of days ago has around 50 responses and I got the majority of them the day I posted the discussion.

Responses have nothing to do with how interesting a discussion is but users being there while the discussion is alive. My timings are odd.

@Kandae11 The recent activity only shows activity within that stipulated time. Mine get buried deep down.

@allknowing That's where it would be good to get a burst of comments - before it gets buried.

My topics does not gather more than 10 in 20 minutes. I think it depends on the user, if he/she is actively visiting and commenting and the receiver reciprocates the action, there will be a win-win situation here.

No, I usually have the same people comment on my posts.. I post on every one , but the same people always answer. So I only see a small circle of people in my posts.

@Kandae11 Same, there has to be something you can comment on in most conversations. I think some members are just to picky.. but whatever, I can't worry about them.

Looks like you figured it out. Seems like you have generated a lot of responses to this post.
I have had a few of them in the past. But since I came back, I haven't had any. I think the ones that get the most attention are topics about this site, members, spammers, or problems. They seem to attract the most attention.

It's hard to say what would bring in a lot of responses in a short amount of time. Some of the things I write about which I think would bring in some, don't and vice versa. I just write when something is on my mind or I am reminiscing about something.
You are right about not being as active on here in the summer months. I am guilty of that because my work schedule is busier. But I do enjoy reading and responding to everyone's posts as much as possible.

I've never really measured the time on my own posts. Hard to say what attracts readers/responders . . . whatever the topic is (probably one that most people could relate to), I suppose a good title and a post that's not too lengthy helps.

I've had a few posts where I've gotten close to 20 responses. If I remember correctly I think it's posts where I talked about life or philosophy.
