This is a question i ask myself each time i see some one with a good personality, lifestyle and attitude dies. Its a bit awkward that most bad people live longer than good people,This is not a fact but this is what happens almost everywhere. When people loses someone so dearly or close to them they say God is cruel,God is wicked and say all sort of things while other people accept their fate and still thank God.Unlike human that can be sued to court if found guilty of killing someone else. But when God takes the ones we love or the ones close to us,why cant we sue God??

God takes no one. The other side does the killing. He's also called the god of this world. God allows it because he can't go beyond a person's free will choice. Miracles abound. God would prefer that people live a long and fruitful life.

@Genipher I understand your dilemma, but the OT believers didn't understand the spiritual realm, therefore the references regarding God doing those evil type things is a FOS, Figure of Speech. In this case the idiom of permission. It appears that God is doing those things but it doesn't fit with all the verses that state that God is love and he is Good always.
Since one of the ten commandments is Thou shalt not kill, and we're supposed to walk like Jesus Christ who always did the Father's will. If God really did kill and maim and cause sicknesses and diseases, then Jesus Christ wouldn't have been healing people, he would have been giving them more afflictions.
