We felt an earthquake while dining in a restaurant last Friday. Thank God it was not a strong one and lasted only for few seconds. I learned later that it was stronger and longer in other places, the strongest being magnitude 6.3 in one province in the South.
The strongest earthquake I experienced in all my life was on July 16, 1990. It was so strong that it led us all trembling inside the office. But it was stronger in the epicenter with 7.8-magnitude and it was in the northern part and with death toll of 2,412 people. It was a sad day.
I admit, a strong earthquake is one of the things that terrify me the most, but who does not? Have you experienced a strong earthquake?

Wow! Magnitude 6.3 is already a big earthquake already. I hope all of you will stay safe. Lately there was a magnitude 7 earthquake happened in Sichuan Province. It is far away from my city. Besides, my city is in a very safe zone and we haven't experienced the serious earthquake yet. Lately I travelled to Japan and I experienced the minor earthquakes. I felt a little scared after that as at the beginning I didn't realize it was the earthquake

We felt a shake as well last Friday. I thought it was just my chair. My mom didn't even felt it but a lot did.

We had a strong earth tremor, where our ceiling and walls started creaking and bottles on our cabinets started rattling. It was a very unsettling experience @salonga . I am happy you and your hubby were okay and the earthquake did not last long.

Earthquakes are very scary and sometimes the aftershocks are worse!

Yes aftershocks could be stronger and will cause the building to fall.

@salonga Yes, they are. What is interesting is that earthquakes don't actually kill anyone. I\t's the structures that man made that collapse and crush people. Another interesting thing is that Jesus foretold that they would be part of the sign of his return. I know that you know that.

That was a strong earthquake. I've experienced earthquakes, but none real high in magnitude. I'm going to say it was luck as I lived in places where it could get very strong. I don't have that problem anymore where I am now. I'm glad the one you had wasn't bad.

Anyone can be so afraid of earthquakes. I also remember that July 16,1990 earthquake. We were in an office in Makati City when the ground shook.

I was in my Makati office too. After the earthquake I was with many people walking along Ayala avenue who were all rushing to go home.

That is why all those earthquake drills that the country is doing should be taken seriously.
