A warrant has been issued for my arrest.

I have done many naughty things in my life. As an early teen, I snuck on the IC trains to get from Chicago's South Side to the North Side, where there were cool stereo stores and "Old Town," which was a "hip" place to visit. Even as a 12-year-old, I was bad. I once stole a dollar set of peace stickers from the local Walgreens. Is my past catching up to me? I just received a phone call saying that a warrant for my arrest had been placed against my "name and my identity," or something like that. What was weird was that there were little gaps in the call, suggesting that it had been poorly edited, and/or that others are getting slightly different phone calls, "cut and pasted" differently. Have you received any such phone messages lately? I have the IRS after me, I am subject to arrest, and I may have won various lotteries that I didn't enter. We live in strange times.

I have been hearing many getting this call. The good news is you get free lodging and food if this is true. The welfare state as many like to claim.

@TheHorse I know, they claim they so hard too, whining over free food with a gourmet chef.

Yeah, but the food sucks at some prisons. At the women's prison I worked at, they had a gourmet chef there, but the inmates still complained. I don't want to be lodged with a bunch of whiners, even if the food is good.

@librarygeek1980 Oh, did you follow up on it? I was wondering what the ransom was. I'd like to deliver it by hand, with an FBI agent posing as me.

@TheHorse an outrageous amount of money, like 947.43 to not have the warrant downloaded, stupid crap.

I haven't gotten that one but , was getting one from the IRS and I am retired and don't pay taxes. These black websters and others are finding all different ways to hit us up for money. And they can't even edit their calls any better than that? How funny!

Why can't they find English-speaking sociopaths to do the writing and speaking? Oh, wait. Maybe they're all busy serving as Donald Trump's vassals.

I am glad that I do not receive phone calls like this, at most I receive calls from people who want to sell their products. They are also annoying.

@TheHorse They surely buy the telephone numbers from the company where you register for services, like where you buy your washer and dryer, or on the internet where you are requested to enter your address and phone when you place an order.

@LadyDuck Some companies say they will protect your identity. I wonder how much a list of phone numbers costs.

@TheHorse - It's a very well rehearsed script. Each call begins the exact same way. I just hang up on them.

I got a call warning me that the FBI was looking for me for some reason. They of course said that money could get me protection. It distresses me to think that people actually think this is going to work.

I don't think they'd do it if it didn't work on 1/100 of 1% of the people out there. That's 1/10,000. If they bot-call 1,000,000 people, that's 100 suckers.

I think about that episode of M*A*S*H where someone asked Colonel Flagg if he wanted their address and he said, "That's okay, we already have it." I think you'd better run, you outlaw you:

Oh, we did stuff like "Is Mel there?" five times, followed by "Hi, this is Mel. Any calls for me?" Responses varied from "F*ck you little b*stards," to "Oh, you naughty children!" from someone who obviously found it amusing, and was happy that we happy 11-year-olds, doing what children do.

I was a Miss Goody Two Shoes, so the police are leaving me alone. However, I have won millions and billions of dollars, which must be the reason the IRS is calling me constantly, so I may just disappear on one of the many trips and cruises I have apparently won. Buh bye!

Can my Hot Russian Bride and I come with you on one of your cruises? As soon as Barrister Mbalo's money is deposited into my account, I'm going to take a few months off from work. Pity about his Uncle's plane crash.

@TheHorse Of course you can bring your hot Russian bride on any of my cruises. Quit your job now! Why wait? You know that money will be put into your bank account as soon as you give Mbalo your account number. Excuse me. I must take another call from the IRS. I certainly don't want to get into trouble with them!

I do not receive phone calls from numbers that are not listed in my phone. Any calls from numbers not listed are blocked. That has caused funny "missed calls" a couple of times! Two of my friends changed phone numbers and tried to call me. Of course, they couldn't get through... Later, they came by and told me my phone hung up on them. I laughed and told them they needed to text message me with their new phone numbers, I would put them into my phone's registry and they could call me after that! SMH!
