We buried a dear friend of mine today

I'm taking the day off to go to a funeral today. It's the mother of a good friend of mine. She was 94, and had a good life. She grew up near where my 94-year-old Auntie grew up, and my friend's mother and I would talk about New York at family parties. I will miss her.

I am sorry, I am sure you will miss her, but 94 is an old age, better to go until we are still capable to do our daily tasks. I would hate to grow older and being a vegetable.

@TheHorse If you cannot enjoy life anymore, it is a sad life for you and for those who take care of you. My Mom tells me all the time that she prefers to die than to become infirm, she is 96, she thinks she lived long enough.

@TheHorse It is very hard to lose people. I remember where I used to sell they would have a place on the wall that when someone would pass away they would put the details. I always was happy when I did not see someone on the wall. It is hard to lose people. I am so sorry for the loss of a good person even though she was 94.
