~Someday Heart Break Will Be Worth It~

Valdosta, Georgia

The tears roll down her sweet face, Crying in my arms, I hold her in my embrace, Trying desperately to ease her precious pain. Thinking back to the first heart break of my own, The thought brings tears to my eyes, Remembering the feeling of that pain, feeling so alone, Knowing now my pain was a blessing in disguise. Someday she will look back at this distant memory, She will see God's work was at hand, With time I know she will again be at peace, One day God will send "her" perfect man... I wrote this poem for my oldest daughter's heart break. She was broken up with yesterday... Image from Pixabay

Beautiful poem written by a truly, loving mother. We never want to see our children hurting.

@DianneN Thank you. =) No, I hate seeing my kids in any kind of pain-like most mothers.

I remember my children crying over a lost love. Thinking they were not worthy. The why's and what they could have done to keep him. You just hold them, love them, and listen. And hope their young hearts heal quickly.

Nice poem. She should spend more time with her studies at her age.

@allknowing She wasn't dating him at 10, she had a crush on him at that age. I did a discussion and lot's of girls like boys at younger ages. It's perfectly normal.

@LovingMyBabies that is such a good relationship between you and your kids. Not all parents are like that and not all children can tell their worries to parents.

@jstory07 I told her either the timing isn't right or the person isn't right-either way it's a blessing in disguise.

That is so sweet and so true. At that age it is so hard. But like you said one day she will find the perfect man and life will be so happy.

It's nice that she has you there for her... I went through mine on my own... I don't know if my Mom had any idea at the time or not but for sure I didn't even want her to know or talk about it...
