PLAYING GUITAR

Well it is really nice having a guitarist in the family especially when most of the members love music but talents are not meant for everybody so it is really not advisable to insist it to a person..Just saying ..Anyways, I have a brother who is talented and can really play a guitar and even drums but on family gatherings I am the one who usually ruined their day by enjoying myself with a videoke

I wish to hear you and family playing guitar my friend. I no longer play I have no guitar, but I used to love it and play a little.

I like music, I sing every day but O don't know how to play the guitar. I will learn it someday

Nope. We don't do that. We talk and eat or rent a videoke to sing songs but we dont play instruments. But I know the basics of guitar. I also want to have one.

We usually watch movies or tv shows most especially action, fantasy mixed with thrilling ones. Then everyone in the family cheers when protagonists win. And screams whenever important characters die. However, I wanted to play musical instruments too. But my family is not musically inclined so I tried letting go of that dream hahaha

Our family loves music as well. The piano is therapy for me. I also teach piano, but find it difficult to teach students who don't really care about it. My son is a gifted guitar player, and my youngest daughter and I are learning drums. When I was a child, our family bonded around the piano, especially at holidays. Either my mom or I would play while everyone else sang.

I think you will discover what your son's talents are as he grows up, as parents we can only encourage them with what we like but it stops there, he may have other talents or other things that he would like to do, so we must help them develope that

That would be wonderful to teach your son the guitar! Personally, I "attempt" to play guitar (mostly self taught), but I play drums (took lessons from my cousin for about 4 months when I was 13) and a bit self taught after that as well, and lots of practice of course. Anyways, I like to play music with my family, I play drums, my dad plays bass or guitar and sings. Sometimes if my brother is here, he will play the drums, I will TRY to play bass guitar, and my dad will play guitar and sing, very fun!

I hope he likes playing the guitar. We didn't have any real bonding moments.

My 12-year-old daughter has been learning to play the guitar for over a year now. She was getting free lessons from the Salvation Army. Recently, her great uncle bought her an acoustic guitar (she had been borrowing a guitar from the Salvation Army). She loves playing. She's the only one of my kids that plays, though. As a teen I played the clarinet for a year, at school, but I gave it up when school ended for the year.

I don't play it - but I love to hear people play.
