I Drew A Thing

One day while I was at starbucks sipping on a green tea and listening to youtube videos on my headphones, I started to just scribble meaningless lines and shapes onto a napkin. The weird thing is that I didn't intend to purposely do it, it just happened.
Apparently I was in the zone, with a determined look etched across my face. My GF was sitting next to me gawking over every once in a while and being amused as to my scribbles coming to some sort of fruition. She asked me what was going through my mind as I was gliding pen across napkin with a firm grip on the
writing utensil.
I blankly looked at her and said,"Nothing, I remember nothing. It just happened."
This is not the first time i've done this sort of thing, I have noticed that it only occurs when i'm (presumably) lost in thought and happen to have a pen in my hand. Every scribble is unique, one of a kind.
I think that deep in my brains' thoughts, theres an abstract presence thats trying to tell me something. What it is, who knows?
Could it be-
An extraterrestrial cryptic message from beyond the milky way?
Am I possessed by a samoan tattoo artist using me as its vessel?
Is my inner conscious just playing with me?
What meaning is my doodling trying to convene to me!?
Is this even a kind of art?
Oh well, maybe it's better if I don't understand. For now i'll just enjoy the abstract drawing. Maybe I should frame it just to mess with people.

This is a neat post. That is a cool abstract thing you drew there. I think I am partial to the alien one and they could have secretly possessed your body and mind to bring the message that man can live like brothers or die like beasts. A pretty cool quote I saw the other day. See, message is already working.

automatic writing and doodling is quite common - some spiritualists try to derive supernatural aspects from it but it is just a natural tendency we all have

It is interesting, at least, Plethos...
It looks like you were drawing one of those start here and come out there type of puzzles... Have you tried to see if there is a pathway through your scribbles? Maybe there is a message written there and you just need to decipher it?

@Plethos I've already been here, Plethos!
You need to do another drawing! (Maybe show a few of the bodies you left laying around... )

It appears to be a cave drawing, showing the chaotic battle that occurred one stormy night betwixt little humans and giant dragons.
Doodling is a useful habit. I doodle because it helps me to focus when people are talking. And because it also helps me switch off and ignore what's going on. As long as I know which doodling I need to be doing, all is well!

@Plethos Doodling is a useful tool for the daydreams and the ADHD. We should be encouraging those of that mindset to doodle. :)

@Poppylicious - i wonder if todays kids use a pen or pencil as much as they do the keyboard on the tablet, phone, and other electronic devices.

This is awesome!
I do abstract art and when i create I don't have anything in mind, I just let my eyes and hands take over.

How pretty! In psychology, that is called flow. Basically you were just "in the zone" and that happened to be doodling.
