Yes, another day of waiting for the repairman. Today it is for the patio door which has built in blinds.
The mechanism has stopped working. Second time that it happens.
Last year they replaced the right side and this year, both sides are not working.
Very frutrating. Good thing that we have a 10 year warranty on those.
But I am telling you that I will never, ever again buy those kinds of door
Have you ever had problems with your patio doors?

No. Not that I recall. Other doors in the house not shutting right and such as that though.

I hope it's an easy fix. That would be annoying.

We had French doors with the built in blinds - 5 years, no problems and the new owners have no problems - believe me, they would have told me about it LOL. I don't remember our brand, perhaps all doors are not created equal.

@marlina At a previous house we bought the blinds that you add onto the front of the french doors and I hated them. They worked but when you opened and closed the doors they rattled so loud it scared you.

I haven't but I just have a door and a storm door that opens out onto the deck. I don't have sliding glass doors. That doesn't sound like fun, but I went through a similar thing with my refrigerator..it was really inconvenient because it broke twice when it was brand new. The last guy that came here replaced the ciruit board and it has been good ever since.

Constant problems with our sliding glass doors. It's the reason I can't stand them. I can't remember not one place that we have lived *after I got married) that had sliding glass doors that we didn't have a problem with. Which is odd because my late aunt lived in a house for I don't know how many years. Her house was old, She had sliding glass doors and she never had a problem!

@marlina No, but both our front and back door, are losing the seal on the bottom. Thus, they leak air underneath:(

@marlina And having a good seal around the doors, keeps the warm air in, the bitter cold out!:(
