Do you know what your neighbors do?

I was just pulling out of my parking spot in front of the house I rent and a few cars up from mine, a neighbor from a couple houses down from me was also leaving, and I saw he was wearing a jacket with bold letters on it saying Allina EMS. So apparentlt we have a paramedic on my block! I thought this was really cool but then made me realize I really dont know about anything about my neighbors.
I live in a semi urban setting (4 blocks out of the city) so maybe this is the norm. Have exchanged a few words with my next door neighbor but not much more.
How well do you know your neighbors (do you know what they do for a living?)

I only have two close neighbors. I know what they do for a living though one neighbor calls himself a consultant and I'm not sure exactly what he does.

I know a few of my neighbors and what they do but there are others that I don't know at all.

Yes. In the estate I live, it is so obvious that 98% of adults living there work in the hospital. It doesn't matter the occupation but as long as you work in Kenyatta National Hospital, you can live in Kenyatta National Estate :)

Most of our neighbors here in this area we might say Hi from time to time, but have no idea what most of their names are, or what they do for a living, and we live in a Cul De Sac and have been buying our home now for 9 yrs

My son in law is EMS as well, but only EMT,I personally don't know much about our neighbors and don't really need to, I am sure I have nothing in common with any of them. The people in my building are the best friends of my daughter and her husband.

With our neighbors, nah, I don't know their whereabouts. I even talk to one of my neighbors once.Lol. But in our province, all of my neighbors are known to me. I know their source of income, their family status, and almost everything unlike my neighbors here in the city.

@maezee Probably. That is what I like about the people in our province. We treat each one as a family.
