Soon we will be bring a son in to this world. Our little baby Hunter! I have heard some people say "Why would you bring a son our daughter in to this racist world" To me this is a stupid thought!!
Through our actions and words we can teach our young the beauty of this world. Why racism shouldn't exist and doesn't have to exist.
Each day you do not have to go far to see racism. Just turn on the television, walk down the street, read a news paper, listen to the radio, or just go to work. It is in our music, movies, news and everywhere we might be. We as a whole feed in to this thing called Racism.
We need to cut it out in every fashion. Our young learn from us!!! Even the slightest amount of racism they see and learn from.
I think racism lives in all us! I'm not saying we are all racist! What I am saying we all get a racist thought even if we do not want it. Have you ever drove in a bad part of the city and thought and had that fear of damn I need to get out of here? Have you ever been around people that speak another language and thought damn, why don't they speak MY language! Or well if white people only do this, or you are black if you do that, Muslims are all out to harm you. I HAVE BEEN GUILTY OF ALL OF THESE IN THE PAST!
We have all had thoughts like this! Even if we do not want them they pop in to our mind. We have the option to block these thoughts out. Do you have a strong enough mind to do so? Do you want our young to grow up in racism? I know, that I do not want my children to do so
There are racist people in every race! I don't care if you are black, white, brown, or any color in-between! I don't understand these groups like white lives matter, black lives matter or any other group that says they want to end racism. To me these are groups are separating them self from any other race, which is racist in its self.
Walking down the street burning, yelling, screaming is not the answer. These behavior is actually making it worse. Just like the news makes it worse. Fighting over statues or saying every police officer is bad, is not the answer.
Do you want to know what the answer is?
The answer is they way we raise our next generation of children. The thoughts we teach our children is way more important then running around burning, looting, feeling sorry for our-self and just plan acting like idiots.
These actions our young see, are putting horrible thoughts in to our young at early ages. This will in return just keep the cycle of this racism a live.
We need to teach our kids to respect everyone no matter what the race is. We can learn from each other! We can love each other. We have to teach our children if we want this racism to end.
Being closed minded about other races is one of the biggest mistakes you could have in your life. As a young person I probably was a little racist. I grew up around a little of it. I was young and learning from other's. I didn't know better. Young minds can be influenced easily!
Today, now that I'm older, some of my best friends are from other races. I'm in a interracial marriage! I wouldn't change it! I learn way more from other races, then I do from my own race. I would say two of those things I learn is to Love and respect!
So, the question was "Why would I bring a child in this "Racist World".
The answer is easy. My answer is...
As a parent we have the ability to influence our children in a positive way. God has gave us these precious gifts and the ability to help shape and form the minds of our young. Remember they learn from our actions and what we say! We can show them the beauty of people and that the simple thing of color and culture really doesn't matter. Remember, color is only skin deep.

We need a lot of people with loving attitudes, like you, and you can raise your child to be that way. I try to teach my children at school the way of love and acceptance too.
