Your safe...

Wending my weary way home from work this evening, I pulled up at a roundabout (rotary) behind a clean and shiny van belonging to a local estate agent chain (realtor). Nothing striking there - the van had a couple of ladders and "For Sale", "To Let" and "Under Offer" signs on the roof-rack, and was liberally displaying the usual advertising logos and pictures one expects on such a vehicle. One large picture, covering most of the rear doors of the van, right in my line of vision, boldly declared: -- Your safe in our hands -- I despair, really, I do, SMH. As you can see from the picture above, at least their web adverts have been corrected. (Names removed to protect blah blah...)

This is only a typo, but some typos can be funny : instead of "Pâté de campagne" farmhouse pâté, this menu says "Pâté de compagne" girlfriend pâté. It has also a mistake on "Entrée"

"Your safe" is in their hands, perhaps because of the commission they charge...? So expensive you might just as well give them the lot, safe and all...

@vandana7 I doubt it, especially as it is written correctly on their website image.

I must not be understanding something, pgn... You don't believe your safe is in their hands or you don't have a safe for them to keep safe for you or possibly your safe is in @vandana7's hot little hands? Uhm... I feel I must give you a bit of advice here... If you have given your safe into vanny's hands, I hope you don't really expect it back again... You KNOW she will claim you didn't have enough in your safe to pay the return shipping fees, so she will kindly keep your safe until you advance the necessary funds to cover shipping and handling as well as a basic storage fee. Uhm... you realize the fee will necessarily include an additional amount to cover the cost that occurred due to the need for constructing an additional room in her home in order to keep your safe safe. Hmmm... okay, I believe I have now confused myself on this discussion... Hopefully you will understand where I was attempting to take my response... I don't believe I quite made it there, where ever that was! (I am dizzy now... I think I should go have a nice nap before I fall down and hurt myself! SMH!)

@pgntwo Yes, I believe I am, thank you! So, was your safe in safe hands who kept it safe for you?

@DaddyEvil There was a safe in the hotel room I was in last weekend. Didn't use it though. And the previous room occupant, or housekeeping, had ensured it was bereft of any valuables before I got to it

Mistakes like this jump out at me and I'm always desperate to tell the company - but I never do.

@pgntwo True. I can't imagine they'd really want to know.
