Bullfrogs Sang Through the Night

With the downpour all night long, I was disturbed from sleep by the loud "singing"of bullfrog having their concert inside the drainage pipes. They are so happy because rainwater filled the drainage canals. Though they roused me from sleep, am glad to hear their cow-like moo, meaning they are still alive to play an important role in the ecosystem. They are beneficial because they eat mosquitoes, and other harmful bugs. Do you know about bullfrogs or heard them croak?

Don't know one from another seriously... Haven't seen a real one at all I think.

That's only a joke, a figure of speech only. You'll be amused if you hear them croak so low!

Really it rained in your place? Its so nice you gear the concert of the bullfrogs. Are you sure they are bullfrogs? Last night it was the crickets singing that entertained me also. Its the season of rice and crickets usually multiply this time around.

Yes,I am sure. When we were new in this place, I thought it was some kind of a machine making the noise.

You should always have ear plugs before you go to sleep. That reminds me, I should probably look for one..

Oh yes. When I was there in Pinas, raining times were annoying because of the loud sounds of those frogs in my garden. That was the time for me to use earplugs.

I am not comfortable wearing earplugs. So you are familiar with their sound?

Oh, I think they are of a poisonous kind; they are so big and squirts poisonous liquid when irritated.

Oh, yes! I've heard them croak many times in the pond. I must admit they'd drive Doodles crazy if they went into our drainpipes.

Yes, I remembered when we have a Golden Retriever dog, he got so furious when he found one in our backyard! Dogs do not like them.

They make such a different kind of low croaking unlike the common smaller frogs.
