Where do you carry your cell phone? Do you carry it close to your body or keep it a distance? Do you take precautions? Some possible health hazards: 1. Brain tumors. 2. Poor sperm quality. Some safety tips: 1. Don't keep phone next to body. Keep at least 15 mm away. 2. Use phone speaker as much as possible.

I have not found a method to avoid radiation and I hope that the amount of radiation won't affect my health too much.

I watched a TV program on it today and there seems to be some cause for concern. When I go out I keep it the outer pocket in either my backpack or shoulder bag.

I use phone speaker, so the phone is in a good distance - I've read about warnings about this a rather long time ago..

Yes, and there still seems to be some concern. Best not to take chances.

@1hopefulman I've watched this on television, my phone is always far away from me, hmm normally at least 1 to 2 ft away, but if I have to go somewhere else (away from home) I put my phone on my pocket

@tech40 How do you think it might be easy? I've never had a problem.

It's good to minimize exposure. I like having it in the outer pocket of my backpack.

I am not at all concerned, it is on a stand and when I go outside it is in my handbag.

@LadyDuck I see! I just go a little away from people and talk or I will tell them to hold on a second and use my earphones.

@1hopefulman I usually do because the few time I use it it's because I am outside in the middle of other people. I think that the last time I used the cellphone has been last month of May. I use my landline phone every day.

I keep it away from me in a handbag or on a stand and when I talk on it I keep it quite a bit away from my ear. :)

It seems that all those safety tips are good. Since I looked at the situation I am being more cautious. Every little positive thing that we do helps.

I don't carry mine around like some people do. I do put it in my purse when I am going somewhere but that isn't every day. I don't think we can be really safe in this world any more. There is so much more radiation of different lengths any more that it's impossible to avoid it.

Personally I don't worry about this as I rarely use my cell phone. When I go somewhere I carry it in my purse in case I need it. Otherwise, it is on its stand at home.

Yes, but many think that we should not be concerned. I think we should and take precautions. The program shows recent information on the subject. I want MyLotters to be around for a long time. Let's stay as healthy as possible!

I know but the cancer rate keeps going up. I am still alive, 10 years after I thought I was on my last leg, by making drastic changes in my eating habits. If I can do something, I go for it. We can only raise awareness and point to the evidence, what people do is their choice but what I do is my choice. What else can we do?

I keep it in the pocket of my jeans. As long as it does not touch my skin, is that OK? I need it for my job while I work. In this heat, I don't wear a coat. Any ideas? Not worried about sperm count.

@William21001 Yes, but I would think that the more wee do the faster it might kill us. I have been sick and it wasn't pretty and so I'm trying to slow things down. If I'm able to do something, I'll give it a go. But I understand what you are saying.

I don't care about the radiation. In fact today we are living in a world with different kinds of radiation. Even the sun will sent the radiation. Besides, the phone is quite important for me to work. I need it to be online most of the time except for late hours when I am sleeping. And that's the only shutdown time for my phone.

Yes, the problem with cell phones is that it is very up close and personal. I prefer to carry mine in a backpack in such a way that there is some space between us.

That is line with the recommendations made. If one wants to be as safe as possible, then when using the phone, one would use a headphone instead of putting the phone directly to one's head.

I used to place my phone near my head cuz i use it as my alarm but i figured its more comfortable to sleep if it's far from me. I get a tingling effect in my head, especially near my forehead whenever it's near.

Very good! When I speak on the phone and I'm at home I always use the speaker and place the phone down. When I'm out I use earphones.
