The retirement age for me is about 68 I think - that is the uk state pension age, but I don't see me being able to afford to stop, so I have no retirement age in mind.

In India different professions/jobs have different parameters. If one is in Government service, s/he retires at the age of 60 years. If one is a Government teacher, s/he would retire at the age of 60 but would be given an extension to serve upto 65 years. Like-wise retirement age of Judges of Courts and Doctors is 65 years.

Our mandatory retirement age from my present job is 56. But of course there is a life after retirement. I can look for another paying job and stay with it until I am 60 or 65 years old. When we are still able to work, we should take the opportunity so that we will stay sharp. There should be some limitations as to what I will do then.

I wouldn't want to wait to retire. I want to start my own business so I will never think about retiring

I will probably work until I'm 70 because that is when I will finish paying mortgage.
