Here is my colorful lunch, and since I made enough of all the ingredients, this is pretty much what my lunch will look like every day this week.
The green beans and carrots were boiled in water with brown sugar and soy sauce. The onions and leafy greens were cooked in olive oil with salt and pepper. The sweet potatoes were steamed in the rice cooker. There is a bit of rice under the veggies. The blocky things are koyadofu, dried tofu that has been soaked in water and boiled in the soy sauce/ brown sugar mixture. I have some purple grapes in another container.
The best thing: this week I only had to buy onions. I had everything else from last week. I just had to cook everything.
What will you be making for lunch?

Yes, I have lived in Japan for my whole adult life, so it is natural to eat Japanese style.

@youless Pretty fluent, thank you, but not on subjects I know nothing about, like baseball. I'm good at talking about education, music, the Bible, and other things I do all the time.

That does look colorful indeed! I had some carrots, raisins, peanuts and a cupcake.
