My new vitamix

Last month, I decided to get a vitamix, as I have only heard good things about them, and I wanted to see, if everything they said is true. I am here to testify, that it does everything they say it does.
I like the fact that I can make soup in it, just by blending the ingredients for about 6 minutes. The longer it runs, the hotter it gets, as it works by friction.
It is a great machine, and I am enjoying using it everyday, as I am losing weight, slowly, but losing nonetheless.
I am on a total plant based diet, as it is the best diet to have, as it is healthy and by making my own foods, I know what the ingredients are, and I can pronounce them all.

Way to go! I eat a raw plant diet. Lots of fruits, vegetables and greens. I follow Doug Graham's 80-10-10. I used to have a Vitamix but gave it to a friend, not that I had any problem with it but I prefer to chew the food. All the best of health!

I prefer to chew the food too, except for smoothies, where I don’t. I love the fact that it really makes good smoothies, and anything else that I put in it. I like the fact that it does make soup in it, and it doesn’t take a long time either.

Good for you. I am finding that my sleeping habits are better, and I am feeling better too. I am happy that I have it, as it has been a big help in making various foods, as we all know that making our own foods is better than what we buy in the store. At least I know what I am putting in my foods.

It definitely does. I am not losing weight everyday, but still losing, and I am happy that it is staying off. I have had trouble losing weight all my life, and now I can lose it without much problem. I do enjoy using the vitamix a lot. The best investment for sure.

How fun. You've written a nice post about a kitchen appliance and so did I! We're mostly vegans over here so I know some of what you mean. I love my simple blender for making cauliflower sauce. I use that instead of fatty real gravy. Very tasty. I agree about buying food that is exactly what it is: cauliflower, for instance, nothing added.

That is the reason I decided to get it, as I can make my own foods, which are healthier, and like you said nothing else added. I am keeping the chemicals out of my body, as the foods have so many chemicals in them, that I can’t pronounce all of them. I certainly won’t put things in my body that I can’t pronounce.

it blends fruits and veggies with the pulp?

Yes, as I don’t lose anything by putting them In the vitamix. A regular juicer would leave the pulp, which has all the nutritents, that I need. It makes very good nut milk too, and I don’t have to strain it, as there is no pulp. I had a ninja that left the pulp, and not having to strain it, is really great, as it gets a little messy to strain it.

@peachpurple When I used a ninja, I always had to strain, and with the vitamix, I don’t have to, since it is a high powered machine. It saves a lot less time not having to strain it.

I use mi e everyday, whether I make nut milks, smoothies, soups, or other things. It will pay for itself in no time. It is expensive, and well worth the price it costs. I am glad that I have it, as it does everything it is supposed to and then some.

@NJChicaa I had too, and I knew that they are pricey too, so I put off getting it for a very long time. The only way, I could do it was to put it on 6 easy payments. It is profitable for me that way, as I am not paying all that much each month. My last payment will be in January. It is the best investment I have ever made.

I thought it would be hard, but it really wasn’t. Once I started on the plant based diet, I realized that it was the best thing that I could have done for myself. Now that I have the vitamix, it is much easier, as it is a great machine, and one of the best investments I have made.
