Have you guys been following up what has been happening in Kenya lately? Well, am Kenyan and I thought you should know.
So after we participated in the national elections on 8th of August this year, our presidential election results were nullified by our supreme Court after allegations of illegalities and irregularities having been committed.
As I post this we are preparing for a fresh election (presidential) which we are not certain will happen as the opposition and the electoral body are at logger heads!
The temperature (political) has been high for the better part of the year , demonstrations have become part and parcel of us, know what the common citizen I am is sick and tired! Pray for us friends and in case this situation gets out of hand, I hope I can find a home here.
*just kidding*

In some countries politics is taken very seriously - and election campaign time is not the best time. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible. I am a big fan of athletics and I do admire the kenyan distance runners when I watch the Olympics or World Games.

I'm sorry to hear about your election process going bad so that you need to have another election. I hope everything goes as it should and the elections are held. I don't blame you for being sick and tired of the whole situation. I will pray for your country and the election process.

Its really sad when elections are tampered with. Every country that has voting usually has laws in place that can't be tampered with? If they made election tampering a very serious offense like treason I wonder if crooked politicians would think twice about trying it.

I read that ..today I was going through some old currencies, and I do have one note from Kenya in that..shilingi or something. lol. Hope things resolve at your end. I have been to Zambia...so I do know a little bit of how things are at that end. You all have a beautiful country. Hope you all can save it ..I had lots of friends from Kenya ... when Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania were together.

I am anxious on your behalf and hoping that the election will happen in a peaceful manner, with a fair result. I sincerely want to hear that your parents get good cows (or whatever) for your future wedding.
