Am I blocked? How do I know?

A pleasant day we have here. The rain stopped for a few days now. Halleluia, one can't live with the good things ALWAYS like that, rain rain rain all the time.

why would somebody block you? i know you are a genuine user.

If there's no "Respond" or "Comment" buttons in this person's discussions or following his or her posts that means you've been blocked. I didn't know it was possible to do such a thing until it happened to me. Then it happened a second time...lol! It could very well be an accident so I thin it's a good idea to have someone PM the member but if it was intentional please don't let it get you down. I know I didn't say anything to offend the people who blocked me but I DID express an opinion that differed from theirs on the touchy subject of U.S. politics. This is supposed to be a discussion forum, isn't it? I think we can be respectful but still disagree. I guess if someone isn't willing to do that or to agree to disagree they'll just have to block me.

Aw...that can be terrible. If we are blocked accidentally..it feels terrible..we wonder what did we do..:)

It seems this happens from time to time and JJ's suggestion is good. Ask someone to PM the person and check.

It could be an accidental error. It happened to me, l accidentally hit the wrong button and someone couldn't respond on my post, l got a PM from another user checking up to ask why, l quickly realized l had hit the wrong button, then l corrected myself.

They probably accidentally blocked you. I asked JJ for his help and it was cleared in no time.

My day's going well ... although I slept-in a little ( all the way to almost SEVEN O'CLOCK ), so my 'schedule' might feel a little odd (i.e. instead of eating 'right now' at almost 8:00, I'll probably eat at 8:30 or 9:00). Maybe the person felt like your writing isn't 'on their topic' enough. No harm, no foul ... it's like if you wrote books, they'd be in a section-of-the-library that the person blocking you never goes to. You probably should feel the way Stephen King feels about 'people who don't read horror novels.'

Ha well you should check and see if it continues I guess- but good attitude to carry on! We would love some rain here as we're in a semi-drought right now.

@Freelanzer I found out I was blocked by someone when someone told me because I could not see their profile or respond to their post.

I didn't even know we could block people on MyLot.

I was blocked accidentally twice. One I knew was an accident - the other, I am still not sure.

The only way to know if you have blocked is that when you search for it you can not find it in the chat or on your list, the same thing happens the other way around.

It can be difficult to know, but if you visit their profile page you should see 3 buttons entitled Follow, Send message and Block. If the Block button is it present then they have blocked you.

You aren't alone.I have never offended anyone here,but I was once blocked by a person.I was simply incomprehensible then.

Yes you were blocked in that case. You may asked him if he has done it intentionally or not through PM.

The blocking system is weird here.

It may be accidental. You could not interact with that particular person if he blocked you.

Sometimes I accidentally hit wrong buttons. Just think of it as accidental block.
