I finally paid my Social Security Insurance contribution, and did not wait in line because I went there so early at 8 a.m. Also, to be sure I won't forget the next deadline, I made an advance payment for October.
If I had continued paying the premiums since I quit my office job, by now, I could had been a pensioner because I had made the 120 premium payments already! So I have to pay four more years to complete it before before becoming a pensioner!
Anyway, it is just like saving something in a bank. I can withdraw the payments anytime if I wanted to discontinue it.

It's what I am thinking so I decided to continue paying instead of withdrawing all what I had contributed.

Oh? Can we withdraw the premiums that we contributed if we wish to stop paying it? Is that really true? I have stopped paying premium contributions of my father's account because he lacks 9 years more because the previous contributions that they paid thru someone they knew did not contribute it to the agency. They thought that their friend submitted our father's contribution but being greedy as she is, she just keep on receiving it and took it away. We have known that 2 years ago. Then after that, I started paying it myself but I stopped it because i am already discouraged and father is already old.

If your father is already 60 years old, I think you can withdraw what had been remitted; but am not so sure if there's a specified number of payments when one can withdraw. Better ask the SSS to be clear. I had asked about mine and I learned I had 38 payments when I left my company and they say I can either withdraw or continue paying to reach 120 payments to have a pension. It is better you continue paying because there are many benefits like hospitalization, etc.

@acelawrites His above 60 actually. IN case of hospitalization, it can be covered by their Philhealth and Senior Citizen Membership. But I will still go and inquire to SSS regarding matters like that.
