WHO RULES IN YOUR KITCHEN?

Who is the chef or best cook in your household? In our home, I would give that title to my nephew who showed an interest in culinary activities from age ten, and plans to open a restaurant very soon. I am pretty good in the kitchen too - but I prepare vegetarian dishes mostly. I also love to bake --that is a great stress buster for me. Those who have tasted, love my oatmeal cookies, vegetable pies, carrot cake , wholewheat bread and rolls. So, do you like cooking? Who rules your kitchen? And what dishes do you like making?

I love to cook and bake. But no one rules our kitchen. My husband will surprise me with a meal once in awhile.

Let's just say I am the one who uses the kitchen the most. I cook the everyday meals and sometimes bake. Hubby will make breakfast on weekends . . . he doesn't cook much but at least he is more creative in the kitchen than I am. My daughter will try to cook and bake too. But I do it the most.

Yes I love cooking and I rule my kitchen no problems except it is way too small. Dishes I like to make are everything and mostly no recipes just what I make up.

Since I live alone, that would be me. I love to cook and bake. I've been doing quite a bit of that since I moved here. As for the best cook in the family, that would be my daughter. She just has a natural knack for it.

Some do it as a necessity while others love doing it. I won't say it is a hobby of mine - but I do love baking.

@Kandae11 my favorite recipe is sinigang especially fish. I use camias or tamarind fruit as sour ingredients and prefer chili leaves for my vegetable.

I've always enjoyed cooking for my family, although I'm not the world's best cook. I've improved over the years, but now that the kids are grown, I don't cook a big meal every day. sometimes we eat out.

I only wash the dishes. My wife rules & the kitchen is under her control. I don't mind and would not have it any other way. She prepares the meals in our home. She loves to try new recipes and is best when I get the right ingredients for her to take those recipes out of the book and onto a table for us to enjoy.

Some women dislike having a man underfoot when they are busy in the kitchen, but others don't mind at all. Your wife obviously loves cooking - and I know - it is so much nicer when you have the right ingredients for recipes.

I am home most on the week days so I cook then. My hubby is home on weekends so he likes to cook then. We've followed a vegetarian diet for just over a year now and I am trying to be very skimpy on refined sugar. We cook/bake from scratch. I make fruit pies still but add cinnamon and ginger and no sugar. Vegie pot pie are very tasty!

I am also trying to cut down on the sugar I use. In my banana cakes, carrot cakes and oatmeal cookies, I use raisins and a bit of honey - the banana and carrot do add their own sweetness as well.
