After a day of fasting for our holiday, Yom Kippur, we broke fast with friends and family, then called it an early night. We relaxed at home with Doodles, the cat, who enjoyed the heat of the gas fireplace on this cool night.
I couldn't wait to crawl into bed. After two hours sleep, and two+ hours of lying in bed awake, I decided to myLot. What else could I possibly do at 4:30AM?
Usually I sleep like a log. However, I usually don't have my baby's wedding coming so quickly! Five more sleeps to go!!!!

It's hard to sleep when excited or having any strong emotion. I can't sleep either so here I am.

A mother's job is the most important in the world! We try to cover all bases, at the expense of our restful sleep:( I do the exact same thing, especially with the grand-kids!

@kobesbuddy Oh, I'm so sorry. That is awful. You better let things out more often, it's never good to hold feelings back. I do it so often, that my husband just nods in agreement.

So true, except there is almost nothing left for me to do. My son's future MIL is on top of every detail. That's the scientist in her, yet she's always so laid back and calm. I'm very up and get excited easily from a blouse to a wedding and everything inbetween.

@DianneN I'm laid back on the outside, yet all tied in knots on the inside! I internalize things, just like my Dad did. Mom was the feisty go getter, who never miss a trick. While Dad would sit back in a chair, cool as a cucumber(so it seemed). Yet, he had a nervous breakdown. Not fair?

I hope you get some rest tonight. Will you be relaxing a bit today?
I remember when my son and his wife's wedding was approaching how excited I was. Hard to keep those emotions under control.

@DianneN breathe!! You'll be okay, until the ceremony. I lost it when my son walked me to my seat. Then I cried.

@ElusiveButterfly I cried when I saw my older son in his tuxedo! Then I cried throughout his ceremony. I'm a big crybaby when it comes to the kids. I learned a few tricks on how to stop the tears from ruining the makeup. Hope they work better this wedding than the other. lol

Yes, there is not much to do at 4:30 AM. The day is coming quickly. It won't be long now.

@toniganzon There's not much hope for me in that department. I can sleep right up to the wedding and will look just as awful.

So exciting I can understand why you can't sleep. Doodles looks pretty comfy in front of the fireplace. He's loving it.

I finally returned to bed after 6:00am and slept until 10. I missed my morning walk, but did 1 mile around the yard with Doodles. When he wakes up, will do a few more. lol
Yes, I'm beyond excited and can't believe it's almost here! Btw, Doodles turned around to warm his other side. Ha ha!
